7 Harsh Truths That Will Drive You to Be A Better Person, According to Buddhism

2. Nothing is perfect.

You are not perfect and nothing is truly perfect. Perfection does not happen on this planet. This world is made up of imperfect things and we need to be aware of that.

3. Worrying does not accomplish anything at all.

Worrying does nothing but make you upset. Giving power to the forces you cannot control in that sense is not productive. Let things play out and help where you can.

4. You get what you give.

It is important to remember that Karma is very real. If you put positive into this world you will get positive in return. If you are being kind but still not gaining it in return you may have done something to evoke bad karma in a past life. You need to address this possibility and work through it.

5. We are not in control of as much as we think we are.

We do not control much in life. There is only really one true thing you can control and that is your response. Your power lies here and you should work with it as best you can.

6. The most useful lessons come through times of hardship.

We learn the most from things we don’t want to experience. Hardships and tough times are important, they bring us to new places in life. You don’t learn much if your life is all roses and bright skies.

7. If you do not accept change you will get nowhere.

Change is inevitable and it will come whether you want it to or not. If you do not accept it, it will leave you feeling empty and cold. Be the best that you can and accept the things life pushes you to.
