The New York City-born actress who plays Hailey is all heart, brains, and talent.
Have you ever heard of Sarah Hyland? Well, you should have, and if you don’t know who she is, then you’re probably living under a rock! If you’re a fan of the hit ABC sitcom Modern Family, then you’re probably crushing hard on the adorable, and all-around talented Sarah Hyland. On the show, Sarah plays Haley, the eldest daughter of the Dunphy household. Haley Dunphy is also known for having some serious issues with her love life. Remember her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Dylan? Ugh! He just as dopey as he was cute! Aside from Modern Family, she has appeared on Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments, The Lion Guard, Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, and a bunch of other movie and film credits that date back to 1997. Seriously, the girl is unstoppable! But there are quite a few interesting fun facts about Sarah Hyland that you probably didn’t know.
15. She Has No Problem Defending Herself From Haters
Unfortunately, when you’re a celebrity, you have to accept that fact that not everyone in the world is going to like you.
Dealing with meanies in school is tough, but when you’re in the limelight, the hate is ten times worse.
People started criticizing Sarah, claiming she looked “way too skinny.” But this was back in 2012 when her condition with kidney dysplasia wasn’t going well, as she had spent several months on bed rest.
According to the BBC, she didn’t let the haters have the last word, and quickly defended herself by posting on Twitter: “I’m not in control of what my body looks like. I strive to be as healthy as possible, as everyone should.”
